Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Al Furqan Academy collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have over how it is used.

1. Information we collect

We collect the information you give us when you book a free trial class, register as a student, apply to teach, subscribe to our newsletter or contact our support team.
  • Contact details — name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number and country.
  • Student details — age, gender, learning level, preferred course and preferred class times.
  • Teacher applications — qualifications, Ijazah credentials, experience and any documents you upload.
  • Payment details — processed by our payment provider; we never store full card numbers on our servers.
  • Technical data — IP address, browser type and pages visited, collected through cookies.

2. How we use your information

Your information is used to deliver and improve the service you asked for — nothing more.
  • Scheduling your classes and matching you with a suitable teacher.
  • Sending class reminders, progress reports and account notifications.
  • Processing payments and issuing invoices or refunds.
  • Responding to enquiries and providing academic support.
  • Sending occasional updates about courses and offers, which you can opt out of at any time.

3. Children's privacy

Many of our students are under 16. Accounts for minors must be created by a parent or guardian, who remains the account holder and controls the information we hold.
Teachers only receive the details needed to run the lesson. Parents may request a copy of, or ask us to delete, their child's information at any time.

4. Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the parties needed to run the academy:
  • Teachers assigned to your classes.
  • Payment processors, for handling fees and refunds.
  • Video conferencing providers used to host lessons.
  • Authorities, where we are legally required to disclose information.

5. How long we keep it

Active student and teacher records are kept for as long as the account is open. After an account is closed we keep the records for up to 24 months, and financial records for as long as tax law requires.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete the information we hold about you, and to object to certain processing.
To exercise any of these rights, email contact@alfurqan.academy. We respond within 30 days.

7. Security

Information is transmitted over encrypted connections and access is restricted to staff who need it. No system is perfectly secure, so we ask you to keep your account credentials private and to tell us immediately if you suspect misuse.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service changes. Material changes are announced by email or by a notice on this page, and the date at the top of the page always reflects the current version.
